Our campsite in the Maze was in one of the most isolated areas in the lower 48. We brought gasoline to be able to get back out. It took about six hours across rock, not road, to reach Chimney Rock.

New barriers broken. Always a good thing.

I learned to slow down.

I learned the sky is in our midst.

I learned that I need to live somewhere new.

I learned never to trust a soiler.

(Ok, he wasn't that bad.)

I learned that I can do this, and I'll do it again.
